Improving human resource and financial management
Strengthening the capacity of institutions such
as the State Prosecutorial Council and the Republic Public Prosecutor's Office
contributes to the improvement of the judicial system and the rule of law. One
of the ways in which the capacity and productivity of these institutions can be
improved is the use of modern technologies, i.e. the application of information
software. The advantages of such a system are reflected in the efficiency of
data retrieval and processing, reduction of errors, better analytics,
comparability of different data and support in the decision-making process.
For these reasons, the EU-funded project "EU for Serbia - Support to the Prosecutorial System" is working on the development of an information system for financial and human resources management, which is being prepared for the needs of the State Prosecutorial Council and the Ministry of Justice. The goal of this software is to automate and streamline internal business processes, which should ultimately lead to improved financial and human resource management in the prosecutorial system.
In order to better meet the needs of users, in March 2022, workshops were held with representatives of the State Prosecutorial Council, the Republic Public Prosecutor's Office, the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor, the Appellate Prosecutor's Office, the Higher Prosecutor's Office and all three Public Prosecutor's Offices, as well as the Ministry of Justice. The work on software improvement continues today, through another series of a total of 13 workshops, which will be held in the coming period, ending in September. In addition to improving the functionality of the new information system, the aim of these additional workshops is to provide the necessary knowledge and skills of employees in public prosecutor's offices and the State Prosecutorial Council to use the software solution.
